Z1 Notebook Series Features a Secondary Display In The Lid for Enjoying Windows SideShow Gadgets and Media On-The-Go
SINGAPORE, Feb. 6, 2007 ---LG Electronics (CEO: Yong Nam, www.lge.com) today announced the availability of a high-performance 12.1-inch widescreen notebook - Z1PRO EXPRESS DUAL. The LG Z1PRO EXPRESS DUAL high performance notebook features the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator. The LG Z1 (Dual LCD) features the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a dedicated ATI Mobility Radeon X1350 graphics card and Windows SideShow technology in Windows Vista, providing consumers with "always-on" access to multimedia content and software gadgets via a secondary display embedded in the notebook lid.
The 12.1-inch widescreen Z1PRO EXPRESS DUAL sports superior performance and stylish looks, comes in premium piano black design in an elegant glossy finish, and weighs just 1.89 kg. The Z1PRO EXPRESS DUAL features the Windows Vista Home Premium. A large capacity of 120GB and 1GB memory guarantees to run the core experiences of the next generation operating system flawlessly.

Windows SideShow is a new technology that allows the Windows Vista operating system to drive auxiliary displays providing consumers with faster and easier to use bite-size bits of information. The LG Z1 (Dual LCD) utilizes NVIDIA Preface technology, allowing consumers to link to the programs and data stored on the main system, even when the notebook is in hibernation mode or turned off. Some of the many gadgets that can be used on the go without draining battery life, include music playback, photo slideshows, e-mail, calendars, world clocks, stock quotes, RSS feeds, and more.
The LG Z1PRO EXPRESS DUAL and the LG Z1 (Dual-LCD) are equipped with high-performance internal high-powered speakers 3W (1.5W*2) and the latest audio technologies, such as SRS WOW HD and SRS TruSurround XT, delivering rich stereo sound. The LG Z1PRO EXPRESS DUAL is available today, with theLG Z1 (Dual LCD) to be announced at a later date.
